Despite the great competition, both among Russian and Azerbaijani companies, the design solutions of the automobile bridge over the Samur River were entrusted to the IC "HYDROTRANS-ENGINEERING".

The new Bridge over the Samur River replaced the previously existing, built in 1953-1957 and put into operation in 1957 as part of the Samur hydroelectric complex, and reduced downtimes in movements.

The bridge over the Samur River - consists of a continuous, monolithic prestressed structure, 5 spans.

• Bridge scheme - 54 + 3x69 + 54 m.;
• The total length of the bridge is 325.3 m.;
• The size of the bridge for 2-lane traffic on the highway of the II technical category is G-11.5 m.;
• Full width of the bridge W = 17.3 m.;
• The bridge is placed on a curve with a radius of R = 600 m.;
• The length of the bridge with approaches is 812.84 m.
